Clippers Go Down to Celtics Despite Tatum's Injury

Boston's 3-Point Shooting Proves Too Much

January 27, 2024

The Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, 116-102, in a game where the Clippers were unable to contain Boston's 3-point shooting.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 30 points, despite playing with a sprained ankle. Tatum hit six 3-pointers in the game, part of a Celtics team that hit 15 3-pointers as a whole.

"They were making tough shots," Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said. "We couldn't get a stop when we needed it."

The Clippers were led by Paul George, who had 27 points. Kawhi Leonard added 22 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Celtics' hot shooting.

The loss drops the Clippers to 27-25 on the season. They will face the Celtics again on Monday night in Boston.
