Dolphins Crushed After Tua Tagovailoa Suffers Scary Concussion

Dolphins 'crushed' after Tua Tagovailoa suffers scary concussion

Miami’s quarterback carted off the field after head injury in Cincinnati

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was carted off the field and taken to a local hospital after suffering a head injury in Thursday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Tagovailoa was injured with 5:54 remaining in the first half when he was sacked by Bengals defensive tackle Josh Tupou. Tagovailoa’s head hit the turf hard, and he was immediately surrounded by medical personnel.

After several minutes, Tagovailoa was helped to his feet and walked off the field under his own power. However, he was then taken to the locker room and did not return to the game.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said after the game that Tagovailoa was “conscious and alert” and that he was being evaluated for a concussion.

The Dolphins went on to lose the game 27-15, but the team’s thoughts were with Tagovailoa after the game.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Tua,” Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill said. “He’s our brother, and we’re all here for him.”

Tagovailoa’s injury is a major blow to the Dolphins, who are now 3-1 on the season. The quarterback has been one of the most impressive young players in the NFL this season, and his absence will be a major challenge for the team.

The Dolphins will now turn to backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who has started 74 games in his career. Bridgewater is a veteran quarterback who has had success in the past, but he will need to step up in a big way for the Dolphins to continue their success.

The Dolphins will also need to hope that Tagovailoa’s injury is not serious. The quarterback has a history of concussions, and another head injury could put his career in jeopardy.

The Dolphins will provide an update on Tagovailoa’s condition on Friday.
