Las Vegas, NV - Chennedy Carter has signed a one-year, $64,154 contract with the Chicago Sky, according to a source familiar with the deal. The contract includes an average annual salary of $64,154.
Carter, 24, was waived by the Los Angeles Sparks on Monday after two seasons with the team. In 2020, she averaged 17.4 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game. She was named to the WNBA All-Rookie Team that year.
The Sparks will have to eat Carter's $86,701 protected salary if she goes unclaimed through waivers.
Carter is a 5-foot-9 guard who played college basketball at Texas A&M. She was the second overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft.
